    Accreditation and Approvals

The RCC Institute of Technology received Ministerial Consent in Ontario, in 2004, to offer Bachelor of Technology programs in Electronics Engineering Technology BT(EET) and Computer Information Systems BT(CIS). This consent, the first provided to an independent, non-secular institution in Ontario, was the result of a review process conducted by the Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board as established by the Postsecondary Education Choice and Excellence Act (2000).

Full details about the rigour of the review process in Ontario and the standards by which the Institute’s programs were judged by the Ontario Post-Secondary Education Quality Assurance Board are available at the PEQAB website.

Students attending RCC Institute of Technology are eligible for Canada Student Loans, and may be eligible for additional provincial loans based upon their academic program and province of residence. Please consult the provided link to the Canada Student Loan program or your provincial student loan agency.

School of Engineering Technology and Computing’s Electronics Engineering Technology programs are fully accredited by both the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board (CTAB) and the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).

These bodies evaluate applied science and engineering technology programs at educational agencies for the purpose of identifying whether they meet the profession’s approved standards and criteria.
Accreditation and the ability to join OACETT and receive the exclusive, protected title of Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) will have a profound impact on your career opportunities and advancement opportunities in the technology sector.

OACETT and CTAB credentials are recognized across Canada and internationally, making it easy to transfer to another jurisdiction. After completing an accredited program at School of Engineering Technology and Computing, your credentials will be accepted in the United States the U.K., all countries in the European Union and many other partner countries.

Interior Design-Two and Three Year Program

Graduates from the two-year Interior Design program are qualified as designers and/or decorators who may practice in the residential or retail areas of design where full knowledge and application of regulatory codes and life safety may require assistance of allied professionals. The program is recognized by CDECA (Canadian Decorators’ Association of Canada).

The program provides a foundation for the third-year Council for Interior Design Accreditation first professional level program. Graduates of the advanced program complete the sequence of formal education, experience, and satisfactory completion of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) qualifying exam to become Registered Interior Designers by meeting the eligibility requirements for membership in ARIDO (Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario). This allows graduates to use the title Interior Designer.
