Because fashion is a field of constant change, keeping current with the latest industry trends requires a dynamic learning model. At the Academy, our instructors are not just experts in the field of fashion design, but also currently work in the field, bringing real-world knowledge, insight, and contacts to your education. Classroom sizes are kept small in order to foster close connection, support and interactivity between faculty and students.
The Academy’s Fashion Design program is an intensive 18-month course of study aimed at preparing graduates for careers in the design and creation of fashion. You will be introduced to the development and construction of apparel, fundamentals of design, and sourcing and use of textiles. You will develop hands-on skills and knowledge of industry-standard computer applications and machines through a series of creative design projects. Later, these projects may be taken to the job-market as part of your professional portfolio.
