Jean - Paul Amore, B.Sc. M.Math
Director, Video Game Design & Development
A graduate of Computer Science and Mathematics from Ryerson University, Jean - Paul Amore has taught for several colleges/universities and has been at the International Academy of Design & Technology since 1999. During his professional career, Jean - Paul has managed and developed several video game, financial software and research and development projects.
Domenico Caronzo, B.Sc.
Program Coordinator, Video Game Design & Development
Domenico Caronzo is a graduate of Ryerson University’s Computer Science program and has been teaching at the Academy for several terms. He is a very well rounded individual who is always striving for perfection in what he does.
David Logan, Dipl. Film Scoring
David Logan has been composing and producing music since the early 90’s. He is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy in Performance and the Berklee College of Music in Film Scoring (magna cum laude). In 1996 David moved to Los Angeles were he found immediate success in the interactive media arts. He composed the soundtracks for X-Men: Mutant Academy, the re-release of the arcade classic Asteroids and Pitfall 3D. David also composed soundtracks for Pac Man World 2 and the Midway Entertainment epic Legion: The Legend of Excalibur. Other credits include composing music for 26 episodes of Ready or Not (Insight/Disney) and has featured music in shows like Sex and the City, NFL on Fox and Access Hollywood. David is president and creative director of David Logan Music. David Logan Music is a licensed developer for Microsoft Xbox, Sony Playstation 1&2 and Nintendo GBA. Outside of David Logan Music he has acquired a passion for teaching. For over two years, David’s knowledge is being transpired to his eager students.
Jason MacIsaac, B.A.
Jason Maclsaac is a lifelong gamer educated at Ryerson University’s school of Radio & Television Arts. Jason’s first job in the gaming industry was as a designer in 1995, co-designing and writing the script for the game “Huygen’s Disclosure” at Microforum, Inc. He also has done quality assurance work for Groove Games and Brainbox Studios, the value software branch of Digital Extremes. Most recently, Jason has provided the voice of characters in video games for Skywriter, Inc. Jason’s other clients include Dreamcatcher Interactive, and Women Wise.
In July 1996, he founded the Internet games magazine “Gamesmania,” and in January of 2001,
Jason became the Executive Editor of www.elecplay.com, the official site of the television program “The Electric Playground”. Jason is a member of the International Game Developers Association. He is a member of the Toronto chapter steering committee, and the webmaster of the Toronto chapter website (www.igda.org/toronto).
Robertson Holt, B. A.
Robertson has had a varied and active career spanning the game, music and film industries. After earning a BA in Psychology studying the nature of play in video games, he ran a grungy indie-rock club. Following that, he worked in two internationally published PC titles, as sound designers on Desert Thunder and writer on Marine Heavy Gunner: Vietnam. Subsequently, he shot and produced two short horror-comedy films. An active musician, he has played and produced for a number of bands ranging in style from noise to country. He has lectured at OCAD, Sheridan College, University of Guelph and University of Brock for the American Psychological Association.
Lukasz Wawrzyniak, B.Sc., M.A, Ph.D Candidate
Lukasz Wawrzyniak obtained a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Ryerson University (Toronto, Ontario) in 2002. He obtained an MSc. Degree in Computer Science from the University of Guelph and is currently pursuing a PhD. Degree in Computer Science. His research interests include spatial analysis, spatial relations, computer graphics, visualization, soft computing distributed computing, and artificial intelligence. He is an active member of the Guelph Syndromic Surveillance Research Group (GSSRG) at the University of Guelph. He participated in disease surveillance research with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and the Queen’s University Emergency Syndromic Surveillance Team (QUESST). He is currently developing a flexible high-dimensional spatial scan statistic along with novel space-partitioning data structures and visualization tools.
