With the unparalleled growth and global development of new products and technologies, skilled and adaptive engineering technologists are in high demand. RCCIT graduates are often recruited before they graduate, in nearly every area of business, industry, and government. The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) recognizes this program as meeting all the academic requirements for certification in the Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) category.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Technology can work anywhere in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. The Bachelor of Electronics Engineering Technology will prepare you for rewarding career opportunities in the design and implementation of electronic products and systems including:

In small classes (on average 20 students per class), you will learn design theory, analysis and practice, as well as business skills. You will develop prototypes, optimize designs, manage system operations, perform test engineering and evaluation, as well as support manufacturing and quality assurance. You will also learn how to project manage and communicate with clients and co-workers. And you will develop a professional portfolio of your work, including a new product prototype, as well as a strategic plan for your career.

  • Communications (analog, digital, data communications, high-frequency, microwave)
  • Embedded wireless systems

  • Networking and control systems

  • How to present your achievements, goals, and professional development plans in a professional portfolio
  • How to work with a team to design, evaluate and present a new product prototype in a capstone senior project

RCC Institute of Technology’s Bachelor of Technology (Electronics Engineering Technology) is offered under the written consent of the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities for the period from 01/14/2013 to 01/14/2018. Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and the degree will be appropriate to their needs and the needs of potential employers, professional licensing bodies, or other educational institutions.
