RCC Institute of Technology and its faculties strives to set students up for success!
The Career Support Center at RCC helps students and graduates in their search for industry related employment. Through class instruction, small group work and individual advising sessions, students develop s job search skills that will be useful throughout their entire careers. The Center and its facilities are available to RCC graduates at no cost throughout their working lives.
Among the career services provided to students and alumni are:
- Instruction in resume/cover letter writing, job seach strategies and interview preparation
- On-campus job posting service
- Access to over 5,000 employer database contacts
- Career fairs that attract recruiters from a wide range of high technology companies
- Job clipping service of high-tech opportunities advertised in major newspapers across Canada
- Participation in high-tech shows
- Resume and cover leter critique and mock interview practice
- Free fax, computer use and job application mailing service
- Email job search advise and job search coaching
- Employer presentations and site tours
- Listings of useful internet sites
- Network of alumni (approximately 40,000 since 1928) who are industry professionals employed in virtually all sectors of technology
